The ornament of the "Hüttenplatz" and at the same time a popular photo motif is the Hüttenbrunnen fountain, cast and erected in 1850/51 at the Königshütte. It is fed by a spring, the so-called "Kalten Born" on the slope of the Butterberg. From there the whole hut was supplied with drinking water.
At the hut, the fountain was cast in individual segments, i.e. the grid, the columns and the bowls. Afterwards, experts put everything together masterfully. When the water is clear, you can see the stone setting of the well floor running towards the column.
